OpenAjax Alliance Announces New Initiatives Around Secure Mashups and Mobile Device APIs

In conjunction with the AJAXWorld Conference and Expo, OpenAjax Alliance announced new efforts around secure mashups, mashup widgets, Ajax IDEs, and Mobile Ajax.
"Today's announcements from the Alliance illustrate how it is helping extend the reach of Ajax from the consumer space into the enterprise by introducing the ability to security mashups as well as use any existing Widget or Gadgets in an Ajax Application," said David Boloker, OpenAjax Alliance Steering Committee Chairman. The two centerpieces of the secure mashups initiatives are OpenAjax Hub 1.1 and OpenAjax Metadata. The alliance also announced a new Mobile Ajax initiative to broaden the use of Ajax on mobile phones.
IT Mill CEO, Mr Joonas Lehtinen is present at the AJAXWorld Conference in New York and will also participate in the OpenAJAX face-to-face Meeting later this week.
OpenAjax Alliance is an organization of vendors, open source projects and companies using Ajax that are dedicated to the successful adoption of open and interoperable Ajax-based Web technologies. IT Mill has been an active member since 2006 when it joined the Alliance as the first Finnish company. IT Mill was among the very first members whom the Alliance awardedOpenAjax Interoperability certificate in 2007.
